Whether I'm given carte blanche or have to work within a clearly defined framework, I always try to compose music that will act as a virtual zoom that can be moved over an image to bring out its nuances, guiding the reading of it, and sometimes bringing it to new heights.
Clearly, when combined with images, music possesses incredible evocative and immersive power.
