Unreleased Songs Vol.1 with Manon
Starting in 2023, the collective —with Manon as lead vocalist— records and produces a first series of 10 songs composed and arranged by François van Essen for use in film and television (Vol. 1 - 10 songs, available in full here).
Tapping into the eternal theme of love - happy or gone down in flames - Unreleased Songs for Soundtracks is also connected to the pulse of current affairs: women soldiers in Ukraine (I'm coming home), the over-exploitation of the planet (Something I can do, The World we share), the pervasive presence of propaganda of all kinds (Silence).
Whatever the subject, Unreleased Songs for Soundtracks meticulously applies its 'secret ingredient': a touch of soothing freshness, blending acoustic, rock and electro harmonies that are particularly well suited as a soundtrack.
